NC State, like any other university, has its pros and cons. The beautiful bricks, the scenic view from the top floor of Hill, and amazing ice cream are all wonderful aspects of being a part of the Pack. NCSU will certainly leave you with some good memories. But, it will also leave you with some bad ones too.
If you plan on entering the College of Engineering, just remember that this is the most popular college. Engineering is one of the most (if not the most) popular major NC State is known for. Due to this, the program is very rigorous and you may not feel or receive the support that you need. Sometimes, you will feel like you are just a number. But, when you hit rock bottom (possibly by making your first C in your academic career, failing to CODA into the College of Engineering, or failing an exam that you spent hours upon hours studying for) know that you can get back up!

One thing that I love about North Carolina State University is the amount of diversity and school pride here on campus. The people here at State are so welcoming and friendly towards one another that it is easy to find someone to study with, party with, or just become friends with overall. I think NCSU has one of the best engineering and communication programs here on campus and they also have a lot of resources at our libraries and everywhere else on campus. Their database is incredible and the library has so much information for you to refer to when doing research or completing an essay. This University has a strong reputation of academic success as well competitive students, which is makes our school very exciting. Each student is engaged and passionate about something and NC State encourages that each student pursue those goals. I highly recommend NC State as a college to consider in your future!
The staff at the Food, Bioprocessing, and Nutrition building have been tremendous help in guiding students. The campus offers a wide range of courses that challenge and exposes you to niche opportunities. From beer brewing classes to lactation science. The classes have helped create a better idea of all the potential opportunities available in the industry. The advisors for the nutrition department have been active in providing job opportunity information for all the undergraduate students. Throughout my tenure at NCSU, I have taken upon two jobs through the advisor that have allowed me to develop professionally.
