Nicholls State University Reviews
Rating 3.77 out of 5 659 reviews
I love the professors that are at Nicholls. They are very understanding and very helpful. Most of them are deemed as "mean", but this just means that they are doing their job. Most of them are helpful when it comes to grades and I really like that. People have so many things going on, so having our professors being understanding shows wonders. Also, having the flexibility of classes, (i mean it is college so , duh!) helps with people who have children and the ones that are working to get through college as well!
When I first started my studies at Nicholls State University, I was without a single clue as to what direction I should take for my life. The faculty, professors, and students all were extremely accommodating in helping me find the path that I wished to take. As I continued to understand myself and the college life better, the support from Nicholls State University never diminished. Nicholls State University was always their to help me advance in my career. Whether it was through the incredible knowledge from the faculty, the resources afforded to students in research, or events to help students relax and rest from the stress of college life, Nicholls always provides.
Nicholls State University is the perfect school for you if you want to personally get to know and be accepted by your professors and surrounding community. It is the perfect size to get involved with college activities without feeling overwhelmed. I truly enjoyed the sense of family from spending four years at Nicholls during the biggest transition phase of my life to date. I made life long friends and mentors that helped me get to medical school. Nicholls is very receptive as a university and listens to its students and staff. There is not much I would change about my time at Nicholls, but if there was, I know I would be heard and my opinion would be valued. Even through hardships such as Covid and Hurricane Ida, my four years at Nicholls State University were the best four years of my life. College is what you make out of it, and Nicholls gives you all of the tools to make the most of it plus pushes you to reach beyond your full potential.
