I started out as a Psych major in CAS, but realized pretty quickly that I was more interested in pursuing other things. While I was still in CAS I was able to take classes that counted towards the new major I was applying to, so when I was accepted to the MCC program in Steinhardt, I wasn't far behind! Because of recitations your schedule will always be a nice balance between large lectures and smaller classes, and students have a huge range of options when it comes to choosing classes to take, especially electives and cross-school minors. TA's are for the most part very eager to help you with whatever you need, and professors are passionate about what they do. Most grading is curved pretty nicely and it's very fair; If you study and do the reading and ask questions you will get a good grade. And though extra credit isn't always offered, some courses will drop your lowest test score at the end of the semester.
