The online classes at NMSU are very well planned out courses for students to be able to understand and learn well. The professors are readily available for students to contact and the courses themselves are easy to follow along.
After four years at New Mexico State University, there have been many things to enjoy and like about the university. For one the layout and structure of the university is very open and green, so its not a bad place to just hang out between classes. The laboratories have very well maintained and updated equipment for students to use. The professors are very professional in their teaching methods that allow for the students to have a rigorous but captivating learning environment. And the guidance councilors are very helpful when the time for registering for the new semester is coming up.
New Mexico State has a big beautiful campus with lots of stores/restaurants nearby at walking distance. There is also lots of events always happening on campus
Majority of professors are good at teaching online and setting up an easy to read module with all the courses work
I thought it was great when I left. Although, I think the pandemic has changed a lot because my brother is showing me how crazy online courses have become.
It’s an amazing place to be, even though Covid has taken a toll on social life, you can still feel the vibrant energy wherever you go

I had all my course online and it was difficult at times, but the professors are very understanding. My internet sometimes struggled to work, but overall it was good. If my internet wasn't working great, I would email my professors and they would help me as much as they could. It is challenging to learn online, but the professors did a great job with adapting and making sure we understood how to do our work.
I love NMSU! Everyone is very nice and welcoming! The professors are very caring and they want you to succeed, so they help you as much as they can. They are also very understanding to situations that may occur. The campus is very pretty and not too big or confusing to get around. The dining hall food is pretty good and they have a lot of restaurants on campus where you can use your dining dollars at.
Really bid with a lot of parks. The city is small and very student friendly, close to the border and to other states.
Taking clases online was probably one of the harder things for me personally but once the professors got the hang of zoom and the online platform it was much easier. I would have to say that communication is a very big part of college and going through this pandemic it was an even bigger part.
New Mexico State University is a very diverse and kind climate. I have been here since 2018 and I can say that they the university staff and all the athletic groups have been welcoming and very supportive. The campus itself is very nice my favorite part is the pond with all the little ducks in there. The academics at NMSU are decent. The help that the professors provide is very useful and insightful. My overall experience at NMSU had been delightful and fun. I’ve created new memories and made new friends!
Last semester my entire courseload was online. NMSU's individual departments handled the transition well, however, the university as a whole did not have a conclusive plan. Many of the resources were also unavalible this semester, due to financial constraints. For example, there was no student help groups, and classes had less TAs than in previous semesters making it harder to recieve help.
Hello, my name is Virginia Phillips and my experience with New Mexico State University has been amazing! I am a sophomore this year 2020-2021 and even though with all of the challenges of 2020 and 2021 gave to the students, New Mexico State University has been extremely accommodating. Then New Mexico State University is very supportive and is a diverse college that wants to see change and makes a safe place for minorities to go to. As a bi-racial /black female, I feel highly safe at New Mexico State University and if I have any problems campus police and the school takes every problem seriously. New Mexico State University also helps student spread their wings and get out there no matter how young or old they are. They want every Aggie to feel at home and safe, at the end of the day Ne Mexico State University looks out for the students well being and future. When becoming an aggie you'll always be part of a second family that will support you throughout your journey.
My experience with being online with New Mexico State University has been around Average. Online classes are stressful in general because it's all self-motivated and self-dependent, therefore it's been hard but New Mexico State University has been pretty helpful with students making an online transition. For example, they have tutors that we can email, call, and or text all day to help us get through our classes. The university also has mental health hotlines that are sent to the students, and they have been lenient with payments. The professors have been also extremely lenient and accommodate students learning needs. All of us Aggies just desperately want to go to normal classes and want the university to resume to normal.
It's a good school with pretty good professors, I really enjoyed taking all my duel credits here. I just wish the university would actually asks the students to voice their thoughts when making important decisions on thinks like renovations and breaks during the semester.
Pretty good, the professors do a very good job of staying in touch via canvas to make sure your up to date with everything.
