As an alum I can honestly say that the school is an absolute joke. There is a huge double standard. Only certain people are harassed to follow the rules. If you’re an athlete, don’t worry because you don’t have to do a damn thing and don’t get held to a standard. Do not waste your time or your money with this school! Go to a local high school or community college before dumping yourself into this hell hole of a town the call Roswell.

This school's cons will overweight the pros sadly. This institute is mixed with High School kids from 9th-12th grade, plus it's a junior college so that adds college freshmen and sophomore. The dorms (they call it barracks) are ONLY separated by gender. The college males are on the 1st floor, high school males are on the 2nd floor and high school and college girls are on the 3rd floor. Social life? Don't bother. If you want to go to a college and "have fun" this school is NOT for you. There are curfews and trust me, they check EVERY ROOM to make sure you're in bed. The school is located at the heart of Roswell, if you like aliens and hot desert sand then you'll love it. Now, let me get on to the pros. You'll meet a lot of weird and crazy people BUT there will be a couple of friends that you will cherish forever. That's it. That's the pros.
I came from a very poor family barely making it in an almost slum in the Bronx NY and fortunately won a partial scholarship to NMMI. The academic challenge at NMMI was real but the faculty would do whatever it took to help you, the cadets in large were very good people and the facilities were superlative. If it were a four year school, I would have stayed for the 4 years because I so grew to love it so. I just wish it had been tougher, given that it never really gave me any stress. Overall, it was a outstanding opportunity to grow and learn and develop one's self into what when you started would have been impossible.
