I attend Nebraska Wesleyan and I love my experience so far with the Communications department and Women’s Soccer! They do have a lack of diversity, because of the location and the cost of the school. I think besides lack of diversity it is a good school, just pretty expensive, so make sure to get your scholarships. Wesleyan does have great programs in each department and a lot of opportunities for study abroad, hands-on experience, foreign language, and things in the medical field.
I’ve had nothing but good experiences thus far with Nebraska Wesleyan University! All of their staff is so kind and welcoming. Their current students, at least those who I’ve had the opportunity to speak with during my application process, were just the same. Nebraska Wesleyan made my entire admissions process stress free and I couldn’t be more excited to be joining their family in the upcoming fall semester!
Eh, this place is ok. I've come across some good professors and all, but I must admit that I have had more negative experiences than positive experiences at this place. The Career Center dismissed my interest in learning Spanish because, and I quote, "other people already speak the language." I was utterly discombobulated at that statement, and left the Career Center feeling more lost in terms of my career pathway than when I had gone in.
The advising that I have received at NWU has been misleading. There have been classes that I was told would count for my major, but then my advisor changed her mind 3/4th of the way through the semester. Unfortunately, this has happened more than once, so my graduation date has been pushed back.
I'll also say that getting accommodations is difficult for students that need them. By the time my accommodations were in effect, finals were 2 weeks away. I was told that the reason being was because they were busy.
I'll leave it at that.
