My experience at Navajo Technical University has been outstanding. What I like is how most Instructors/ Professors are very helpful and understanding. One dislike would be that a few Instructors/ Professors are not fluent in English, and it would be hard to understand what they we’re trying to explain during class.
At first, attending online classes has been a bit challenging. However, the Instructors/ Professors are very understanding for their students. It can be quite difficult at times because the internet would have a slow connection.
I attended during covid-19 so maybe without a pandemic it'll be better. I enjoyed the staff and professors around the campus. I stayed in the dorms so anytime I got off campus was amazing. We need more off campus and weekend activities.
Online was good but we need more students to participate. It was convenient to be able to do online work while there is a pandemic going on outside. Very flexible and will work with your schedule to get you in class online.
NTU is a great college, they have one of the top baking and cooking classes. They always involve students with parades and other events. The food is amazing you get your salad, meal and dessert for $8.00 and you pick what you want to eat, the food is always fresh and good. They always have different events going on. The only thing I hope will improve is on a bigger campus, although some students enjoy the small campus. I believe it is a safe campus. I enjoy going to school there every instructor is always welcoming and friendly. If something is going on at home or elsewhere they will always try to work with you on your assignment or turning it in.
The only online classes i had for the first, was for this year due to the covid virus. I would prefer to learn face to face interaction with the teacher and also classmates. But attending classes online is actually a good thing that I can be around my little ones.
My experience here at NTU since 2019. Was a good start to finally experience being a college student. It took me awhile to adjust, to applying, getting my books for class, and getting use to being in a classroom once again. But overall I have got a hang of applying for this year. At the campus they also have a daycare center. Which was awesome to me. Because I have 2 children. I also liked how they have housing for students that have kiddos, and a dormitory for girls and boys. Its been going great from being 65miles away from home. It made it easy for me to focus on my schoolwork at a small town here in Crownpoint. Im glad the school practically has everything I need.
I like Navajo Technical University because it's very close to where I live and it's very affordable. But one thing I'd would like to see change would be a brand new cafeteria and more parking spaces.
While I was taking classes at Navajo Technical University for their Welding program I've learned a lot from my Instructor and also my peers. I also liked the fact that the University wasn't too far from where lived. Their food was great and learning how to weld properly and knowing what not to do while welding was fun. I'm glad too have gained the knowledge I still have today about welding properly.
The online course here at Navajo Technical College are easy for student to take classes online. They have a website called Moodle that help instructor and student to take online classes. In this website, you can get informations or lectures, notes, assignment and homework from your instructors. This make it easy for student to upload their assignments and homework. Plus some instructor use video chat like Zoom to interact with students. Like now with this Covid- 19 virus going on, we are using Zoom and Moodle to interact with the instructor and student to finish out this semester. This help student to keep going on to achieve their educational goals.
Navajo Tech has many programs to choose from Associate Degree and Bachelors Degree. Navajo Tech University has all STEM and STEAM program and an Innovation Collaboration tagged with supporting Intellectual property for their students when they choose to begin their Small Business toward Entrepreneurship. This is what excites me. Additional, Navajo Technical College is now known as Navajo Technical University which enlightens my goal when I made the commitment to complete studies in Environmental Science & Natural Resource, Chemical Engineering and Geographic Information System which I have. Now, I have an additional goal to complete the Industrial Engineering Program toward a Bachelors degree near Home Area.
Its a great school. Would recommend if you do not want to be far from home. It is a great school for native Americans, it is close to home and is not a drastic change in the enviroment. The housing and dorms are better then most dorms that are close to home. There are varieties of food you can choose from, The campus is small and easy to get around and it is easy to find your classes. There is plenty of useful resources that you can use to increase your knowledge and to understand situations better. Navajo Technical University is a great school to go to if you are an undergraduate and i would highly recommend.
Navajo technical University has classes that will fit your schedule! They will work with you about class change, online or in class teachings. Overall Navajo Technical University has great service with students and overall everything!
I love take my class here. Everybody help you understand what you don't know like i was lost when I first come here, everybody help me find all my classes.
My experience with Navajo Technical University was excellent. There was a lot of good decisions made with the college. The college had a lot of opportunities to look forward too, which was very exciting. I liked how they introduced to college and talked about what they do and how everything works there.
It is a good collage very small classes. Instructors are very encouraging and a lot of help. Over all it is a good place to go.
Navajo Technical College is a great college, the teachers are kind and well understanding. They make sure that each student gets the one on one time that they need. They are also very understanding about family issues, medical issues, and emergencies. I am very happy that I decided too switch from Dine College to NTU.
