Nashville State has been incredibly helpful and supportive during my first year of college. There's plenty of events and fun activities for us to do on a weekly basis and the teachers are incredible! They'll meet with you any time they can and will help you in every way they know how! It's truly a supportive and amazing environment and I have loved every second of being a part of this school!
I have an amazing experience at NSCC. The smaller class size was ideal for me. The professors are excellent, and the setting is fantastic. They offer a variety of services, including a food and toiletries pantry for students who are in need. It's a highly cost-effective and motivating environment. This is a fantastic university. All of my lessons were difficult and interesting. The majority of my professors were excellent. The price was reasonable, and registration for lessons was simple. The advisors are incredibly helpful and, along with the professors, really want you to excel!
I am a dual enrollment at MNPS Middle(Early) College Highschool at Nashville State. I definitely like the freedom we get within our schedule to choose the classes we want at certain times. There are a host of resources including tutors and librarians to help with homework and research. Your college advisor is also very helpful too with obtaining your college goals. I think one thing that should change is teacher autonomy. I know college teachers are given more freedom to run their classroom as they like but some teachers use their freedom in a way that I believe harms more than help like giving only four test the entire class so if you fail one you have to get really high grades on the other 3 or you will get an undesirable grade in the class. I don’t think that kind of structure is in the best interest of the student. I also think they should bring the their recycling program with all of the environmental devastation occurring right now. Overall, this is a great college program.
