Mt. Hood Community College Reviews
I have enjoyed taking classes at MHCC, and have attended for two terms now. All of the teachers that I interacted with were supportive, helpful, and always did their best to answer students' questions and make time for them. There are a variety of clubs that can be joined and guest speakers that come on occasion. However, the college president recently cut several vital programs that allow students to immediately join the workforce after gaining a certificate, such as the wilderness leadership program, mechanics program, and nursing program.
Mt Hood Community College is a very average college. The facilities are very old and it feels very gloomy by modern day facility standards. The academics are alright, but the advisors do not really know what they are talking about. I recommend that you speak with a teacher in your related field which you are pursuing. Honestly some classes are a joke and sometimes I wonder, "How is this even college", and other classes are difficult but there is help in the tutoring center. The sports programs are up and down, but our facilities are very nice and maintained well. Overall this school needs to do some campus facility updates and improve some of the teachers on staff. On a grading scale I would give Mt Hood a C+.
Mt hood is such a good school with some of the best staff! I had the best experience here from student life, to learning, all the way to even loving their campus.
