My experience at Mount Wachusett Community College helped me grow as an individual. As a child in middle and high school, I really wasn't sure if college was right for me. I had moved a lot in my life from different homes and dealt with a lot of anxiety. I didn't care about school. In my final few months of high school, I realized the only way for me to make it in my life was to attend college. Originally, I choose Westfield State University. During the summer, my anxiety came back and took a major toll on me. That is when I decided on going to community college and attending Mount Wachusett. Choosing Mount Wachusett was the best move I made. The programs and the support Mount Wachusett gave me were amazing. The professors helped me understand the material and helped me succeed. They were there for me every step of my journey. Without Mount Watchusett, I can guarantee you that I would be another college dropout somewhere in the streets. Instead, I am ready for a chapter in my life!
It is a very welcoming school with a lot of greta programs, including a dual enrollment program. It is a great way to kickstart you higher education without breaking the bank! Staff is very nice, and it is a diverse school on a beautiful campus. I definitely recommend!
I only spent one year at MWCC, but I had a decent experience, although it could have been better. I had some amazing professors while taking both online and in person classes, and they were extremely helpful and flexible with their office hours and were able to help me outside of class time often. But, I did have a few issues while I was there. I had classes get canceled on me, and I had to add a new class to my schedule with a different day, time, and even campus. This was extremely difficult due to my heavy work schedule, and I had to schedule a class at their campus an hour away from me when I live 5 minutes from the campus I originally wanted to take the class. But that being said, it is great that there are multiple campuses and you can take classes at multiple at a time if needed. But the advisors at MWCC are extremely helpful in resolving issues and answering questions. MWCC also provides a lot of different resources for students such as tutors.
