Anyone that has ever gone to Morton College will tell you it was an amazing experience. The staff is incredibly friendly and willing to help as well as the programs they have. I took the CNA course (dual enrollment) and was facilitated with everything I needed (textbook, iPad, uniforms). The school's programs are doing a great job in supporting their students with a food pantry and vouchers to eat at the Paisan's downstairs. The campus is small so it makes it easier for high school kids to navigate
Given that I am an out-of-district student, my experience with Morton College is definitely not the same as most other attendees. The campus and professors are fine for the most part, however, I have had a few issues regarding classes. On at least once occasion I've had a class be cancelled after I had signed up for it, and I also have had a class I needed to complete my program offered despite there being 0 classes (Not that the classes are full, but simply there are none available) teaching it to sign up for. These were big deals to me because financial aid pays for a large majority of my tuition costs, so classes being dropped out of the blue affect my eligibility for financial aid, and not having the class I need to complete my program even though it is offered has forced me to work around this lack of availability. In spite of these issues, I still believe Morton College to be a safe, diverse, and helpful college dedicated to the growth of its attendees.
As a community college, it feels like a great college for those who want a mix between college and high school vibe. Also due to being the a community college it has great affortable prices for classes and different plans to help making paying easier. Also a great variety of courses to take for those who are in universities who need to get extra credit hours in.
