Personally, I believe Moreno Valley College is a relatively good school for individuals looking to obtain credits through their general education requirements without having to pay a huge tuition. At the same time, the campus is often a calm environment, allowing students to have space to socialize or simply work on their assignments. In addition, since this is a community college, there is no distinct athletic programs or party scenes. Depending on the course the student is taking, the professors and their course outline tends to vary. However, they are always willing to connect you to countless resources whether it is with tutoring with themselves or through the campus itself.
Overall, my experience at Moreno Valley College has been good. As a 16-year-old high school student, attending college seemed scary but at MVC it felt like a smooth transition. The teachers are very considerate of their students and are always open to answering any questions or concerns. The College provides tutoring and other services such as the Student Center that helps you with essays and also with building a resume and practicing for interviews. I know my experience at MVC will help me better prepare for my education in the future especially since I am being exposed to a college environment earlier.
I have had a great experience at Moreno Valley College. They have many resources to get started on a great future and most professors I have had are incredible. Online classes can differ because some professors can be more demanding but that has barely been my experience. They also have great quiet areas for you to go and study, such as the library or the SAS and Humanities buildings have good spots as well. For studying they also have some great tutoring opportunities and outlets to get your homework reviewed, both online and in person.
