The school is great I'm enrolled in the Modular Academy for Riverside County Sheriff Department. The instructors are all in the law enforcement field and experts in their field (as that is a requirement before they can instruct us). They are very passionate as this is their career and they are training us to make it ours. Everyone who instructs us is amazing. The only issue I had was with the actual financial aid department at the college. They were horrible at response times and getting back to me, until I got my lead instructor at the academy involved, then it was a one day turn around, literally! but once again it showed how dedicated my instructor was to not just helping me but anyone in that class who had issues. Best staff I've ever seen at a college and I've been to three.

I recently got accepted to California State University of San Bernardino and I decided to turn down their offer because Moreno Valley College is the place for me. This school provides students with the tools we need to succeed and offers the best programs to fit each students' needs, in order to prosper. The help we receive from our staff is amazing! No one is ever to busy or occupied to help; help is 100% reliable and convenient. I am proud of my decision and Moreno Valley College doesn't make me feel ashamed for choosing community over "a 4 year"
My specific major is nursing and it can be overwhelming because of all the science class one needs to take, but the professors are enthusiastic in teaching the material and that helps one be more positive about the material. Professors are there for you, they have office hours that one can go to if there is a confusion on the lecture, homework, or even lab. There is SI sessions which are like tutoring sessions to go over the material the professor went on class and it helps a lot because you are reviewing the material and it helps you in your exams. There are job opportunities around the campus, just need to look around and if one does not get the job, don't be frustrated.
