For starters; the Palos Hills Campus is beautiful; with impeccable landscaping and scenic views…It’s better than your average 2 yr college. This location has a lot to offer in regards to student life and the staff seemed professional and friendly for the most part! I got a late start in the registration process but I was able to navigate fairly easily to get started on time for the fall semester. The college is diverse when it comes to the student enrollment, and as a minority student, I didn’t feel any bias concerning race etc. The staff especially in the Liberal Arts Department, which is my field of study…was very kind, and helpful.
In regards to the things I didn’t like?…I wish they had dorm rooms so I could live on campus Lol! But the staff in the bookstore seemed a bit rude and disorganized! There were only two lines open and our cashier left her station leaving us hang out in line as other students in the other line were served before us. Overall, I would recommend. 2 thumbs up.

I enjoyed my experience coming back to school during the pandemic as a non-traditional pre-physical therapy student! Continuing my education is a blessing and the professors are excellent! I am humbled and blessed to have taken Anatomy, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, and Medical Terminology Courses. MVCC offers the flexibility to continue your education in a hybrid and on campus learning environment!
Let me just start by saying Moraine Valley community college is the most underrated school ever. Going into college, I wasn’t sure where I wanted to go and had little concept of money. All of my friends were going to big league schools and here I was going to Moraine Valley. There is a stigma around going to your community college that makes you feel like your not as smart as everyone else going to these big schools. The funny thing is, you are so much smarter for going to Moraine for your first two years. I had the best experience ever at this school. The teachers are so helpful and caring! They take the time to get to know you and let you lead by your strengths. The courses are hard but that’s a good thing, you know your getting a good education here. The atmosphere is welcoming and positive. Everything I step on campus I feel good and ready to start the day. It’s so easy to set up your schedule and meet with advisors who will help. Do yourself a favor and go to Moraine!
