I am currently a Freshman at MPC and has so far been an amazing experience! The counselors have been very helpful wether you are taking classes to further topical education or preparing for UC or CSU Transfers. On top of that, their classes are offered In-Person, Online, and Hybrid.
MPC is very student-engaging in the sense that the staff stays involved with students through clubs, school-operated organizations, and during class hours, which I believe are necessary for a school if it were to be applauded. I really like that MPC has staff that informs students of their class and work hours so the students can know which time of the day the teacher or staff may be available to help. Lastly, the curriculum that is taught at MPC is challenging, but not to the point of impossible due to the school's staff's ability to teach without struggling to introduce and explain differing subjects.
What I liked about MPC is that they are very diverse, responsible, and inclusive to all who are interested in their education. I am impressed with all the financial and educational help that students receive as well as the great community of students that help each other out. The only aspect that I believe that Monterey Peninsula College can improve on is finding more teachers as well as creating more classes for the STEM majors. I enjoy being a STEM student the only problem is that I feel limited when it comes to choosing a class that would benefit my major. Other than that, MPC is a great college to be part of.
