I had a previous degree when I started at MCC. It was easy to transfer those credits to MCC. Also, I have discussed transferring my credits to another university after I finish the nursing program and all of the credits from MCC should transfer to that 4 year university.
I am looking into being a Corrections Officer and working in local prisons. We have visited Michigan Reformatory, Belamy Creek of Ionia. this is a serious job and Michigan needs more Correction officers. There is a training you have to process through to see if you have the capability of being a corrections officer.
I have found that everyone is very helpful and positive at MCC. Most students are, like me, returning to the college life after being in working class so they have that extra drive to succeed, but also are nervous about learning after many years away from the school setting so it's very important to get that extra motivation.
