Small, easy to navigate campus. Teachers are great and very flexible regarding covid-19 restrictions/attendance. Options due to Covid include in-person attendance or on-line attendance or fully on-line classes! Teachers are very open to communication and assistance with problem-solving.
I am an "in-person" learner. I NEED to sit in class to understand the materials. However, the teachers have been really great (considering covid restrictions) about how they do the in-person teaching and on-line teaching. My accounting teacher was quarantined for 2 weeks (contact traced), but put lessons on-line and then was available during normal class times, and her office times, to help with further understanding the material. This help was offered via "webex" (similar to Skype), so we could interact with her directly. I didn't feel like I wasn't learning and the online lessons kept my attention.
MSU-N is extremely affordable compared to most 4 year institutions in the state. They excel in certain trades and diesel tech. The campus is green with a beautiful Folf course for students looking to kill some down time. Northern offers plenty of extra curricular clubs that any student can take part in as well as having speakers and performers visit the campus on a consistent basis. Most students at MSU-N are male so the party scene is terrible. The professors are caring and willing to help break down complicated aspects of the lesson. With the number of students being below the national average of most institutions, students become extremely familiar with other students as well as develop personal relationships with their professors. If a student knows what degree they are searching for then MSU-N is an excellent investment because of the high reputation of having successful alumni in the work force.
