MSU-N is extremely affordable compared to most 4 year institutions in the state. They excel in certain trades and diesel tech. The campus is green with a beautiful Folf course for students looking to kill some down time. Northern offers plenty of extra curricular clubs that any student can take part in as well as having speakers and performers visit the campus on a consistent basis. Most students at MSU-N are male so the party scene is terrible. The professors are caring and willing to help break down complicated aspects of the lesson. With the number of students being below the national average of most institutions, students become extremely familiar with other students as well as develop personal relationships with their professors. If a student knows what degree they are searching for then MSU-N is an excellent investment because of the high reputation of having successful alumni in the work force.
I like the campus vibe, the students and staff are supportive. The staff is personable yet professional. The teachers are great instuctors with exemplary qualities. They are patient and allow students benefit of being individual learners. There are many opportunities for students to develop comraderie whether it be in a class study session or comedy night at the sub. There are many campus events included with the school year such as specialty speakers, athletic programs, and career fairs. The campus layout is functional for students to easily access the buildings of their career choice in one area. The nursing program works closely with the local hospital, one block from the college making viability of the program successful.
My experience at Montana State University-Northern has been fantastic. The majority of the faculty at this University, are very approachable and willing to help in any situation. The small class sizes are very effective and the professors do a great job with explaining the content taught in class. I am a student on the Rodeo Team at Montana State University-Northern, and not only my coach, but all the coaches at this University are willing to help, guide you in the right direction.
