Overall, the atmosphere at MSU, Billings is very light hearted and positive. The professors are all extremely passionate about their realm of education. Dorms are very spacious and centrally located! The safety of the students is alway put first! The campus food has improved greatly from the past years, since they got a new chef.
MSUB is a great school. I am studying art and education and I have had a great overall experience. However, I have had some trouble with the art department and my credits transferring and with advisors scheduling my classes. There are some of my credits that did not transfer and then my advisor tried making take courses that I have already taken. Once these issues were cleared up everything seemed to work out. The education department on the other hand it quite wonderful. They do the best that they can to work with you and help you finish school in the most efficient way possible. I highly recommend the education department at MSUB!
When dealing with MSU Billings and their staff, I have had no negative experiences. I feel invited and always taken care of. From the housing to the admissions department, they are very professional. When emailing the people here, I always get answers right away, and they understand what I need. The application process was fast and easy, and the tuition and other fees are the lowest in the state. The location of the campus is very convenient. The distance from my house and hometown is perfect. I can go home on the weekends when I need to without much hassle. There are plenty of activities in Billings such as hiking, fishing, biking, running, and skiing. I never get bored with the activities in the area.
