I'm a new student but of the older generation returning for a career change. I'm pursuing a two year degree at the City College. The school gets a three star grade mainly because of the new Human Antonym professor. She is very helpful and knows the material. There are aspects that are awful. My first experience was with an academic advisor who was judgmental, never followed through with requests, and plainly was not helpful. I talked to his boss who was very helpful and was able to finish my enrollment process. The other problem I have is the cost breakdown. They have some of the most ridiculous fees such as a fee for online classes. I'm fine with said fee but frustrated when the only option is an online class. They charge 35 per credit and if you live in certain counties they charge an additional 30. I do not know how they break down the costs and when asking about a refund they give you some BS line. So that is why they get a three star review. Be aware of what they are charging you
So far everyone has been wonderful and extremely helpful when answering questions. I do feel as if they care about their students as opposed to seeing them as a paycheck to be used and discarded. The teachers have been great and the facilities are nice.
For the most part the online classes were good. What really makes it work well is if professor's respond within a decent time, and provide helpful resources.
