Moberly Area Community College Reviews
At the Hannibal campus it is very small and personal! You usually have the teachers in your major more than once and so you get that connection with them that may not be there in bigger schools. The teachers really do care about your success as well! If you have a problem they are always happy to help you. The school has a lot of resources as well! They have online tutors that you can talk to, submit papers to be checked from grammar and citations, and they even have an insurance company to help up in tough times. I have a friend who went through a lose and got counseling sessions through it! The staff is great and the small class sizes make it easy to find a class. I found it easy to make some friends despite being so quite and awkward as people are so friendly here! This is a place where people will stand and hold doors open for each other! It's also very inexpensive and a great place to start at if you don't want to jump into a big college right away. I am really going to miss this school after I graduate. It's been such a great experience!
The main thing that I enjoyed about MACC was the student to teacher ratio in gen ed level classes. I think its really important to be able to talk to your teacher and have them remember who you are so they can tend to your specific needs as a student, something that you most likely wouldn't find in a bigger university. One thing I would change might be that there is more variety in classes for elective purposes.
I took almost all of my General Education classes at MACC. I really enjoyed my time there. The teachers were friendly and accommodating. Very understanding of any issues that arose. It is a small, friendly school.
