When I attended, Miles had its annoying quirks, but I made it work and it was slightly more diverse then than now. In my mind, for many years, I appreciated my experience at the institution. Now that I have matured and have seen what other colleges have to offer, I know that I was (in many ways) cheated. The financial aid office was always crowded. Getting a transcript "was" and "is" like pulling teeth. Computers weren't often available when needed. The network was unreliable. Printers constantly jammed or had no paper. Parking was hellish. If you had no car, you could not expect to get anyplace lest you walk or take community transit. At the time, Fairfield had a Wal-Mart and a fully-functioning mall. Unsurprisingly, the former vacated the town as a result of consistent theft. The latter did much of the same though some stores do remain. I didn't have a car but friends and peers often told horror stories of having their cars broken into. The teachers were this school's saving grace.
So far, my experience at Miles College has been okay. There are MANY changes Miles College needs to make. One change would be letting us have a take-out option. I feel they were very inconsiderate, some students have social anxiety, like myself, and wouldn't want to eat in a place full of people. Especially since the cafeteria isn't quite that big. Another one would be improving the quality of the dorm. If they can up the charges of the residence halls, they can up the quality of the residence halls, even if its an old residence hall. They only make changes to the newer ones.
Driven to prepare you to become a leader in any field of study! I was an accounting and business double major as well as band member, choir member and still feel like I had more than enough time for classes and studies. Would recommend. They reach you how to prioritize your success and obtain it!
