Mildred Elley is incredible. A very warm and welcoming environment, and everyone sort of beats to their own drum, which is inspiring for me. You won't regret it!

I was a Spring start and have been here for roughly 6 months. AT Mildred, the two most outstanding things are the resources available for students (tutoring, financial aid, career placement assistance) and the sense of drive and community.
They offer night classes which was a plus. Sometimes they would tell us to show up at 2 in the afternoon for class (finals) and there would be no way to get there at that time. Ive emailed the Dean and teachers regarding attendance not being right and grades not being right and have always been shrugged off. Never fixed the problem that I had with the attendance or wrong grades. At that time we had a different department chair who was so unreliable. She came into the classroom on the very last week of class to hand out applications for the boards, she would tell you to meet her at a certain time and she would NEVER be there, you would try to contact her because she stated that her phone is always on and she has email and text on always and she would never respond. Teachers wouldn't show up and teachers walking out. Hopefully with the new department chair things get better...
