Midlands Technical College Reviews
So far have had a great experience at Midlands Tech! All of the staff are very kind and helpful. The college gives the impression that they want you to be successful. They provide free tutoring and library access to all students. Hybrid and online classes are offered, as well as night classes so that you can have a more flexible schedule. For students that require accommodations or other disability services, they have a department that is ready to provide you with what you need and speak on your behalf if necessary. The campus is beautiful and eay to navigate.
The advisers and other staff are friendly and helpful. Most professors want you to succeed and work with you where they can. Midlands Tech has a few amazing services for first gen college students like the TRiO program for Student Support Services. If they can't help, they can typically point you in the right direction. Considering what I had been expecting, the support and care from faculty has been wonderful. Perfect for a first time college student!
My overall experience at Midlands Technical College has been one that I thoroughly enjoyed and reaped enormous benefits. The admissions process is very flexible in making sure potential students have ample time to apply. The financial aid staff and admissions advisors were very patient and quick in helping find solutions to any obstacles I encountered. As far as workload and class environment, teachers were understanding of the students' lives outside of the classroom and provided plenty of time for everyone to complete assignments. With the wide range in age groups and career paths, group work is encouraged in some classes, but independent studies are most common. However, there are opportunities to meet different people in common areas such as the student life center and library.
