I was a dual enrollment student at MCC for almost three years. I studied only virtually for my degree. It was a great experience. The staff and faculty in general were super helpful and supportive of the students. Something that could be improved is with the online classes, there’s really not much chance to get engaged with the MCC community. It’s hard to hear about new events and activities going on unless you somehow have a very close relationship with your professor. If you do happen to hear about events , programs, etc and get involved in other activities, it’s a very great learning experience and a chance to build your network.
So my only suggestion for future students is if you do happen to take online courses, make sure you constantly ask classmates and professors about different opportunities available that you may be interested in. Getting involved in extracurricular activities really enhances your experience at MCC!

My favorite part about this school is the flexibility. My advisors were able to curate a schedule for me with classes that went along with my busy lifestyle and full time work schedule. I was able to transfer out with around 35 credits going towards my bachelor’s degree. Every professor I had was understanding and provided me with helpful feedback and things I got the hang of, and things that needed work with my assignments. A truly awesome school for those with busy lifestyles wishing to further their educations!
Going to Middlesex Community College was a great way transition into a four-year school. The masstransfer program allowed for all of my credits to transfer seamlessly to a state school, which I am currently attending for the next year. MCC’s diverse classes and majors allowed me to really figure out what I wanted to do once I got to a four-year school. To anyone nearing high school graduation or taking a gap year without an idea of what you want to do as a career, MCC is a great way to diversify your education and perhaps take up something you would’ve never expected! That’s exactly what happened to me.
