Middlesex Community College - Massachusetts Reviews
Probably one of the best things at Middlesex Community College from my experience is the ability to take online/hybrid courses at an affordable cost. Most of the professors I had at the college were extremely supportive, understanding, accommodating, engaging, and always going beyond the text, readings, lectures, etc. and giving us more information on topics they thought we should know about it as well as topics we asked them about. The professors were truly amazing in every aspect possible! The online courses are also very well-developed, offer a great deal of information and knowledge as well as chances to collaborate and engage with other online students creating an ideal environment for effective learning.
Middlesex Community College campuses are located in both Bedford and Lowell. Many classes are held at both locations, but some programs are at one location or the other. The Lowell campus is spread throughout downtown Lowell and the Bedford Campus is its own grouping of buildings with surrounding parking and one auxiliary lot about a mile away. Parking can be very frustrating at both locations. Certain programs have a lot of support and industry knowledge, but if you don't know what pathway to take, MCC might be confusing to navigate. It is a solidly good community college, but my advice is to declare a major and learn as much as possible from those in leadership roles within your program.
Middlesex Community College has been an amazing experience for me. The environment has been so supportive and I truly feel at home here. The college has fantastic student support services and every faculty and administrative staff member are devoted to making sure your experience is positive. Even the facilities people are friendly! The only problem I experience with the college is that sometimes the other students are not as focused on their studies and this can be frustrating for those that take their work seriously, but the Commonwealth Honors Program is wonderful and creates a challenging learning environment full of dedicated students. I wish there were more clubs to join, but overall I couldn't ask for a better experience here!
