Middle Tennessee State University Reviews
MTSU is a fantastic school. I attended undergrad at a much smaller university in a rural area but the transition to graduate school here has been relatively simple. I love the closed campus and for me with night classes, parking is relatively close to the buildings and easily accessed. The professors I've had so far are stellar. Even though the school is bigger, the MAcc program still has smaller classes and the professors really take the time to get to know you and assist you if you need it. The food options on campus are also awesome. Coming from the smaller university where the only options were a cafeteria and one small restaurant, I love having a Chick-fil-A or Subway I can hit up before class. I also love the library layout and booth seating. I would love to see more booths put in!
MTSU is a great school! From the very first class on campus I knew I made the right decision. All of my professors have been wonderful and really care about the students- they want you to succeed. The campus is beautiful and really shines bright in spring. I gave it a 4 out of 5 because there are still areas the school needs to work on like the dorms. The dorms are not terrible but some of them are older and need repairs, freshman dorms such as corlew and Cummings are newer/nicer. Also like the dorms, there are some older buildings classes are held in that need repair- jones and peck hall for example. some of the majors have questionable advisors but if you look around you can find help anywhere, from your peers, faculty, and administration. Overall the campus has a homey feel and welcomes people from all backgrounds. I am glad I go to MTSU and I hope you really consider going.
MTSU is a very diverse, loving, interactive community. Every department I have seen or been a part of works tirelessly to bring together MT students and faculty as a collective whole. Our SGA and other organizations have successfully put on events that integrate on campus living and commuter life. From events like music concerts to Hands Across MTSU, our programs in general promote community. Our academics range across a plethora of specialities, each with a unique niche to keep students engaged and brilliant faculty that care. I would not be who I am today without an experience at MTSU. I am True Blue!
