I love everything about MGA, the teachers are amazing there! There are plenty of opportunities to better yourself as a person and as well as an student there. I would say that the housing needs to be a little bit better! I would recommend MGA to anyone who asks me about recommendations about colleges they should attend.
The Cochran campus looks like a beautiful traditional college campus. This school is great for different types of nursing, aviation, information technology, business or education. There are a few things I'd like to see be improved as I see the city is making improvements. There could at least be one more dining option on campus. The university athletics should be advertised more, and have promotions/incentives to get butts in seats. Student life needs to step it up and have at least two medium sized events per semester and one large event. There should be at least two sororities on campus. I do appreciate the newly renovated buildings for health sciences, IT and the library. The university should start back investing in the Cochran campus by making their Sports related degree programs seem more attractive and making professional classrooms for specific majors (i.e. a marketing classroom to resemble the stock exchange).
I enjoyed the small classroom sizes, which made it easier to communicate with professors. Academically, I did well here. Also, the cost of tuition and other fees was significantly lower than other schools. However, finding new friends and socializing was difficult at this school. Extracurriculars are limited at MGA, which takes away from the college experience in my opinion. The staff do not seem eager to help students, and if I ever needed help it was always a struggle getting in touch with someone. I wouldn’t recommend it unless you need to stay close to home and save money.
