McLennan Community College Reviews
Review McLennan Community College
What a beautiful community this college is! Everyone that I have had the pleasure of encountering are really helpful and nice. Mclennan Community College truly feels like home for me personally and the classes are so engaging. The professors are fantastic and really know their topic! I have yet to run into a professor that was awful. The only real suggestion I would have for incoming students is to work hard because just because this is a community college, it does not make the classes easy. A lot of the professors are tuff but fair and will work with you if you do not understand something. They however will not hold your hand every step of the way so do not become lazy and fully depend on your professor to make sure you get a passing grade; that is your job as a student. In conclusion, study hard, get involved with the vast amount of student organizations, and do not get lazy; follow those three guidelines and you will do just fine here at Mclennan Community College!
The class sizes remind me of that in high school because they are big enough to have a great discussion but small enough to know the names of your classmates! It is helpful because the professor is able to help in a more personal matter, and that makes a huge difference in a student who does not understand something. College is very difficult, and the amount of stuff you need to retain is overwhelming, but personally i found comfort in knowing that my professor is by my side rooting for me. There are so many classes that are available for all types of people. I love how I can major in psychology, and still be able to take classes that might be interesting for a minor like music.
I am originally from Florida. I moved to Waco, Texas to attend Baylor after I was accepted for the Fall term in 2016. Due to financial reasons, I was unable to attend Baylor. However, I am now attending McLennan Community College and I love it. The professors are hands on and the school provides pre-printed notes with minimal fill-in the blank questions for most of my classes. I find this extremely helpful because you can fully absorb what the teacher is explaining and not have to worry about whether you've taken enough notes.
