Marygrove College Reviews
I have been there for four years now and I enjoy the class sizes along with the resources, such as the tutors and extended library hours. Marygrove is a private Catholic college that take pride in students education. My freshman year I went to an open mass, were I found out about what Catholic was. I enjoyed learning in new cultures and beliefs, they never force you to join or get baptized, they welcome you as you are. I meet actually nuns (I called them sisters now) before and they are pretty cool and down to earth people. Marygrove has been a learning and fun experience for me and I will never forget. I know Marygrove is private however there tution is high. Make sure you are playing instrument or sport because this school is expensive.
Marygrove is a good school. The faculty is helpful and the campus is very peaceful. You have access to mostly everything around here. There are few mean people on campus like some of the cafeteria servers. Most of them are decent but some of them get a bad attitude when they get tired of seeing you and serving you food. That's very frustrating. Most of the students are friendly but even a few students bully others but it's best to pay no mind to them. Living on campus is very expensive but it is convenient if you don't have transportation to commute everyday. The dorms could use more update and re-doing in some areas. Another of the best things about this school is that they have variety range of degree programs and the faculty will help you find a job related to your major/minor. Other than that, Marygrove College is good school to attend.
I enjoy being apart of the campus life and having a school family. I went through so much during fall 2014 semester. I went to three funerals in three weeks during finals in December. The first funeral was my god-brother, who was shoot and killed at gunpoint in the back of the head. He was only twenty-one years old. Then, my god-uncle past away naturally, but suddenly. He saw his family one last time before passing in the living room of his home. He gave the best advice and had the most in depth conversation a great mind could imagine. Lastly, my fellow classmate that I would see everyday in English class, or during work study in the science department was killed in a car accident. After we had finished finals for that week in December, he was going to a party to celebrate. The car rolled over on his side splitting his skull. The whole English class and Marygrove student body was devastated. Through all the darkness that was surrounding my life, Marygrove was there. They supported me when I thought all was lost and wanted to give up completely. My academic advisor Dr. Page, my success coach Diane Clark, and many more helped me when I thought I was helpless. I was able to pass that semester with all B's. I will never forget that kind of support because it was so personal. They took the time out to go the extra mile, beyond caring. I am proud to be a Marygrove Mustang. Go green and gold!!!!!!!!!
