My experience has been amazing at MCC! I have met soo many amazing faculty and made so many friends! I will cherish all of the memories I made bowling and canvas painting that were organized by the college. Being in the nursing program has been difficult but the last 3 years at MCC have been the best I've had in a long time! I am so thankful for all of the faculty that have supported me beyond measure throughout my schooling. I truly don't know where I would be without them and really appreciate everything they have done for me. I would recommend MCC to any high school seniors in my area that want to stay local because everyone is soo friendly and inviting and all of the faculty and students are nice and so welcoming!
I went one full year as an in-person student and did the following year online. My in-person year, I felt as though several MCC professors did not take the COVID-19 pandemic seriously, many professors let students have their mask below their nose or chin. As someone that is immunocompromised, I decided that I would do online rather than risking catching COVID-19. Other aspects of the college experience there was great, I felt I got a good education at a cheap price, and I met people there that I still talk to.
I had a great time on Marshalltown Community College, my professors were always good with and helped with any doubt I had with my homework and grades. My favorite person's from Marshalltown community college were Vickie Unferth and Taylor Ladehoff.
