Lurleen B Wallace Community College is a small 2 year school. There are 3 campuses located in Andalusia, Opp, and Greenville, Alabama. All of these have small student population. They offer degrees, ged classes , and many certifications. Located in rural areas, these campuses remain calm and safe.
While college is going to be demanding, especially for a single mother, this campus has offered me courses that fit my schedule perfectly. I have plenty of class time allocated to complete assignments, leaving little workload at home. The curriculum is very realistic. My campus has a fabulous staff that is knowledgeable and understanding of my goals. I have access to labs that i can utilize at my own time and pace. They offer a work study program.
This has been an amazing experience so far ! As a first time college student, and a single mother, I was expecting this to be such a hassle. The staff at my campus, however, has made me feel so important and comfortable. I have not even had to ask for the help that I have received so far. Everyone has been so welcoming and supportive. They truly wish to see me succeed and I am so thankful that I chose this campus ! My classes were arranges to fit my busy schedule, and I am able to attend and complete work with no hesitation.
