I'm only a freshman at LSU and I just finished my first semester, but I already love it! Aside from the usual stress you will encounter during school, the staff really do care about their students, and will do anything in their power to make sure you are satisfied with where you are. There are alternatives for absolutely anything.

LSU has a bunch of sources for everything you need: appointments, counselors, health centers, private studying areas, free tutoring, a HUGE library on the 3rd floor of Middleton, and so much more.

If you are considering going to LSU, it's pretty likely you'll fall in love with it.

LSU is amazing! As far as my academic experience with professors, they have all been very helpful and supportive. Most professors here really care about the class and helping each student learn especially in the smaller class sizes. There are endless ways to get involved at LSU. From greek life festivities to ground shaking Saturdays in death valley, LSU is the place to be if you're looking for a good time. Safety issues have been a growing concern amongst many students. Unfortunately it is not uncommon for people (particularly females) to be victimized by violence in or around campus. In fact, my sister experienced an occurrence first hand when she was robbed at gunpoint as a freshman. Unfortunately the surrounding area enveloping LSU's campus is embodied by violence and poverty. However, if you stay smart and keep yourself aware of your surroundings, LSU is genuinely one of the most beautiful and peaceful campuses in Louisiana.
The hospitality, games, and food is amazing! There's always something to do on campus, whether it be volunteering or athletic games. There's always free food and shirts being given out. Also, there's so many resources that will help you academically. The best part about LSU is the Tiger spirit at the games. The football, basketball, gymnastics, baseball, and softball games are always full of so much energy. They are always fun to go to. Death Valley is the ultimate jaw dropping place to visit! The diversity there is amazing as well. No one will ever feel left out. Everyone is so friendly and welcoming. The food will make you fat and full too!
