In a jewish school you will expect a lot of dirty looks and looked at like a criminal. Its a difficult environment
A medical school only offers the classes you need to take to pass and things you can get certified in
The program I am in is Medical Office Management and is a great program to start a medical career but is a hassle to get a job sometimes because you need experience. My director is a very hard working women who tries her best to send us off to complete internship at good paying facilities and if they like us most likely we would get hired.
The people who I met through out this experience and the teachers who knew what they were teaching.
After graduation most of my classmates who already graduated has got a good paying job and are happy. That is one thing ORT is good for finding you a job after graduation.
I had to come out of pocket to pay for a couple of things. At the age of 19 I would of never thought to be in debt of $11,899 dollars for a one year program. It has go to the point of not being able to attend school because I don't have money for lunch or school supplies. The education is okay only because a student who reads the book will learn... I see all my other friend receiving financial aid to buy laptops, books, clothes and other things I had to ask or borrow just to continue school..
Our school does not offer any activities since it is a simple trade college it only focuses on attending class and that is it. It would be nice to have after class activities or a center
The program I am taking is the administrative assistant program. you learn a lot about the work place about professionalism. So far I have become proficient in my typing, with programs such as excel, Word 2013, Outlook 2013, spread sheets, and Power point. I learned business terminology business math and how to push a company forward. The homework is straight forward, we have a quiz every Wednesday and a test every 2 weeks. you cannot miss out for more than 2 days or you miss out on lot's of juicy information. I would say everything is fair because they let the students remake those hours on their own time. As far as jobs I am focused in working at the airport as an administrative assistant getting paid $25/hr.- $30/hr. but I will continue to see my other options
The reason I joined this college is because I saw an opportunity advertising a job at the airport. I saw a flyer and at the time I was a secretary getting paid $100 every week. I was progressing well but I quit to get a better paying job. I joined the administrative assistant program because it has the skills that are very similar to those that will be expected. With a diploma I will put my skills to use and reach every milestone that will lead to my happiness. Everyone is very friendly from staff to teachers to students. It has been great working with these people I made lot's of friends the only thing that I did not like is that I had to get a loan but it is not so much, to reach my dreams I don't mind working my "donkey" off!
My school offers free parking as well as parking valet. They pay for public transportation they actually pay for your tap card! it is incredible it is like a whole different world everyone is very kind in there own unique ways. Everyone is interesting with their own experiences and the classes are very interesting and very fast. They won't keep you the whole day in there and it gives you time for yourself.
I felt like they did a magnificent job at finding me something to do. I have an excellent job now and I am very happy with this college or bringing me success.
The financial aid staff was very nice and helpful. It is almost always very empty the fullest it gets is two students or one. the only thing I would change is getting more scholarships known to students.
The computer network is always available. it has great Wi-Fi signal incase you might want to use it. Printing is offered it is free you don't have to wait at all for another person to print something. You could print in color or black and white their is no page limit just make sure you print what is more important. the computer labs are available until 6:00pm everyday except Fridays, Sundays, and Saturdays, so you might want to take advantage of that. In case there are technical difficulties their is always nice staff that will gladly help you.
I love the subject matter and the way it is taught. The teachers explain everything to us clearly and in detail. Classes are small so students get lots of attention and TLC. I'm not afraid to raise my hand to ask questions.
The financial aid process was simple and very beneficial. Everything was explained to me clearly and concisely. I really enjoyed working with the financial aid people at my school. Kudos!
Mark Kapusta is great with the students, very interactive and very personal. The whole class just feels like we're hanging around and chit-chatting. And with fun learning.. you learn and remember so much better!
The program is fun because it opens the door to multiple jobs and careers. The workload is a little heavy, but with medical office management and anatomy and physiology needs that workload especially within the time frame of the module. Cirriculum is great, although i wish we could get more in depth and have a little more time.
