The reason I joined this college is because I saw an opportunity advertising a job at the airport. I saw a flyer and at the time I was a secretary getting paid $100 every week. I was progressing well but I quit to get a better paying job. I joined the administrative assistant program because it has the skills that are very similar to those that will be expected. With a diploma I will put my skills to use and reach every milestone that will lead to my happiness. Everyone is very friendly from staff to teachers to students. It has been great working with these people I made lot's of friends the only thing that I did not like is that I had to get a loan but it is not so much, to reach my dreams I don't mind working my "donkey" off!
The program I am taking is the administrative assistant program. you learn a lot about the work place about professionalism. So far I have become proficient in my typing, with programs such as excel, Word 2013, Outlook 2013, spread sheets, and Power point. I learned business terminology business math and how to push a company forward. The homework is straight forward, we have a quiz every Wednesday and a test every 2 weeks. you cannot miss out for more than 2 days or you miss out on lot's of juicy information. I would say everything is fair because they let the students remake those hours on their own time. As far as jobs I am focused in working at the airport as an administrative assistant getting paid $25/hr.- $30/hr. but I will continue to see my other options
My school offers free parking as well as parking valet. They pay for public transportation they actually pay for your tap card! it is incredible it is like a whole different world everyone is very kind in there own unique ways. Everyone is interesting with their own experiences and the classes are very interesting and very fast. They won't keep you the whole day in there and it gives you time for yourself.
