Review Los Angeles Film School
Los Angeles Film School has treated me well. The professors are involved in both your education and the entertainment world. They stay up to date so they can keep you up to date. They really do seem interested in your success. They will answer any questions you have. The campus, although small, has everything you need. Parking is difficult and potentially expensive if not done right. The academics have honestly changed my life. I have never learned at a more rapid rate. The way to academic year is laid out helps you stay focused and ensures you the opportunity for good grades. Overall, an amazing opportunity to learn about the entertainment business.
I haven't taken online courses yet, however, considering the fact that each course was set up to be able to be an online course, and all of our lectures/assignments are online... It's super easy to navigate! I think we do just enough peer-to-peer interaction via discussion posts.
Keep in mind that this only goes for the Game Design program. Some teachers are really great and helpful and really push you to become the best you can be, but others are so bad that they bring the entire place down. One teacher uses the same slideshow for multiple classes and spends around an hour a day showing YouTube videos. Other times in the class you will be following an instruction packet instead of being told interesting theories on what makes a good video game. Another teacher hardly talked to us and showed up late to just about every class. Some of the really good ones took a vested interest in students and actually tried to make sure they left with useful knowledge every day.
