The North Harris campus has a really great atmosphere and viable option in your educational career! I am currently taking classes here before I transfer to a four year university. This is a great first step for all students. The teachers here are kind and really want to teach their students about the intended subject. The campus also mimics a University campus just on a smaller scale, great for those who have never been in a university setting. The student life here is also very active there are several clubs to join and countless fun opportunities to take!

There are some instructors and departments that show extreme prejudice. I originally wanted to become a nurse, the nursing department with lone star college has to be the worst ever! Most of the instructors are great but it is very disorganized most of the time. Also, when concerns/complaints are brought to their attention, there is little or no sympathy despite the inconsistent instruction, they will retaliate in a major way.
For the most part all other classes have been awesome.
I personally did not have the best experience with the Lone Star College system. This is a junior college, so the classes are very affordable! However, the staff is very uninformed, and the counselors don't know what is required for your degree. I went to 3 different counselors because I was so lost as to what classes to take for my major, and they all told me something different. Because of this I have payed for and attended several classes that do not apply to my degree, this wasted my time and money. I also did not have the best luck with professors there unfortunately!
