As an adult coming back to school I prefer classes without a set meeting time, but appreciate the program as it is.
Just starting out. So far so good, despite confusion over pandemic restriction and some miscommunication between departments.
Most of my professors at this school went above and beyond for each of their students and saw full potential in each of their students. I feel that I am better prepared because I chose to pursue my Nursing education at this school. Classmates work so closely together in class and in clinical as well which makes it feel like a small, tight knit community.
Online at this school has been amazing as professors have made the delivery of online content very easy to navigate and listen to. In some classes, I feel that I learned better online and some I felt that I would have learned much better if it had been in person.
Learning nursing online was very challenging. I don’t feel like I learned as well as I would have in a class setting. The instructors did the best they could in the circumstance but I don’t know if it was good enough. I’m sure if the school is still doing online classes there will be a change, hopefully for the better.
I completed a bachelors at the mcminnville campus and then went on to the portland campus for nursing. I am really enjoying it. Everything about Linfield has been great except the online navigation system is terrible, not user friendly and I have had unfriendly staff in the offices. i have made life long friends and the town of mcminnville is very cute. The portland campus should offer parking and daycare for its students. Thats my biggest complaint about the portland campus.
I like that everything is easy to understand. When I needed help, they we're all willing to help me and had no worries about rushing my learning process.
Linfield’s School of Nursing is committed to excellence. With great professors who get to know you personally and a well-structured academic program, it is no wonder Linfield has one of the best nursing programs in the Pacific Northwest. The program is designed to prepare students to pass the licensure examination after graduation as well establish connections for post-graduation career paths. I am thankful for my time at Linfield so far, and I look forward to finishing my degree in the coming term.
The school does a good job of preparing you for the NCLEX and for your future job in theory courses, but at times there can be a lack of communication in the clinical setting that is frustrating.
You will get the best education and when you tell someone your are a Linfield grad they will think highly of you.
Excellent nursing program with an excellent reputation. The on-line program is excellent. Staff is wonderful and easy to work with. The course work is interesting and challenging.
most students get jobs after graduation
A great community and school spirit, but lacks structure and organization.
I feel like McMinnville was better than the PDX campus.
I attend Linfield due to the amount of grant and scholarship money they award me.
I like this area of Portland. However, it is Portland. There are petty crimes that seem to occur pretty frequently.
