Lincoln Tech has been a good school so far. My teachers are friendly, supportive and helpful. The career that I am studying for is a very important role because Medical is something that everyone needs as much support as they can get. I like helping people and I like knowing that people will choose to come to me if they have any concerns of any sort. Medical Office Assistant is something I hope I achieve and do very well. There isn't anything I would say that I wish would change from this school, just better and less tuition fees, haha of course!
I took online courses due to the pandemic. I wish I was on actual campus so that I can do more hands on and get a feeling of the school/environment. So far I like online schooling. I still feel like I get the same resources and help virtually as I would physically. My teachers communicate with me a lot and I always make sure I get everything done that I need to. Because it is virtually, I can see that the teachers are still more engaged in their job and being supportive with their students. You would think they would slack a little bit because they're sitting at home but they're actually doing a great job!
For the most part the education is great accept when you get a teacher that is teaching for the first time and they do not do it very well, it really effects the education this has happened a few times to me. Also i am a single mother and i am attending the LPN program to better my life for my children the program really isnt built to help ppl like me, which is sad i cannot miss days to be with my kids if they are sick or something happens i have to choose between them and school which really stinks. Not alot of empathy or compassion in that category unfortunately. Also some teachers have horrible attitudes and do not treat you like you are an adult like them, which also severely effects education… i had one teacher that was extremely ignorant and rude to the whole class at clinical which in return made students avoid asking questions, which made the clinical pointless because we probably didnt learn as much as we should have.
