Liberty University Reviews
Review Liberty University
Overall, I love Liberty University! Lynchburg is beautiful and I would not want to be in any other area. Liberty is good for the heart, mind, and soul. Although I love my school, I would like to see a couple of things change. Convocation is required for all students on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. These gatherings can be great, but, also take up time for a busy student like myself. We also have this thing called CSER which is a required community service graduation requirement. Students are required to do AT LEAST 20 hours of community service a semester which takes even more time out of a busy day. On top of homework and classes, I would like to see some ease upon students with extra curricular activities such as these two.
Liberty is a great Christian university for those who are religious and non-religious alike. While the rules can feel a little overbearing at times, the main focus of the school is to cultivate well-rounded students with an acceptable education, critical thinking skills, and communication skills. Many activities available to students including a vast array of high level sports teams, concerts, recreation centers, a fitness center with the best equipment, all at a relatively affordable price. All individuals getting ready to earn a degree should seriously consider this university!
Liberty University has an environment unlike any other college I've visited. It is a Christian college and both the students and the faculty take it seriously. The staff are so ready to help, whether it be finding a new scholarship you can enter or which housing arrangement would be best for you. And though they are strict about following the rules, the campus is very safe. There are lots of fun things to do for free right on campus, from student-led concerts to rock climbing to mountain biking and kayaking at the adjacent Camp Hydaway and Liberty Mountain Trail System. Liberty is not for everyone, but it sure is for me!
