Lane College Reviews
Review Lane College
My experience at Lane College is okay. It was not one of my top choices to attend here. What I do like about the college is that it is small so it is easier to connect with other people. But, it is a little too small. I would like to be on a larger college campus and be able to connect with even more people. I also like that the college is a Christian college. It allows me to get a closer relationship to god, and go to school. I also like the fact that it is an HBCU. I like the fact I can unite with people of my same race at such a time like this, with all the unjust in the community towards African Americans. What I would changed about this school is the standards. The dorm rooms are not in good shape. There is mold is a lot of the dorm buildings. The upkeep of the school is not the best and could be better. Also, the classes are not challenging. The courses are easier than my college courses.
My high school Experience was great at Pike High School. Education was important to all the faculty and staff. The really tried to give us a well rounded education. We would have different companies come in and talk to us about all the possible job opportunities we could have. And the cool thing is that sometimes they would sponsor our extracurricular activities from clubs to sports. extracurricular Activities, They were amazing every night that we had a football of basketball game they would all be themed night for example during our home since our colors were red and white that's all students wore including myself. Also we had would have have during every game we would get free T-shirts before each game which i thought was amazing. And clubs We have over 100 different clubs that anybody could have joined they were very helpful they actually helped me further my networking skills.I joined the National Society of Black Engineers Which taught me the processes of learning the engineering process and connecting this to real world situations. My high school experience was a great experience.
My favorite experience with Lane College so far was a block party after the homecoming game, recent basketball games, and a fun day event outside the Cyber Café. Personally, I feel that Lane is unique because of the family like vibe on campus. Everyone is encouraging and very helpful. I would choose Lane again because of the small class sizes and the availability of the professors. However, if I could do it all over, I would not choose Lane again because most times there is barely anything to do on campus if you don't have a car.
