I am currently a dual enrollment student at Lamar State College - Port Arthur. Lamar State College - Port Arthur is a very good and local college to go to. It is a small college but everyone is friendly as well as the professors. There are new buildings being made for different courses that people could take. The college has some really good food both during breakfast and lunch. All the professors I have had were all very professional and nice. They understand our situations if we miss an assignment or could not come to class on that day. Overall, Lamar State College - Port Arthur is a very good school to go to. It may be small but its nice and local to be at.
This college is a amazing! It has great staff and professors who are engaged. They have resources that provide help to students if they ever need it. If we ever have problems or need help on class there will always be a way to receive their help. I am happy to be part of this college.
My of the professors are very kind and helpful. As someone who is generally anxious about new environments, I felt very comforted by the teachers and alumni. I do feel that some of the staff, however, was rude or unwelcoming. It wasn't enough to turn me away from the college, but it did make me self-conscious.
