Due to the recent covid-19 outbreak, my most recent semester classes had been moved online. I was definitely skeptical about the whole deal because I learn better in a physical environment with a teacher present. It turned out I had nothing to worry about! The teachers were very helpful and stayed connected as best as they could, prepared to answer questions and to stay on top of getting grades posted. The classes and assignments were easy to maneuver and access. In a way, it was nice taking online classes because it creates a sense of independence and the work gets done on your own time. It's your responsibility and your time management.
It’s not too big not too small so you’ll get to meet a lot of all type of new people. The people here are really nice and helpful, it’s been going good!
My over all experience with Lamar Community college has definitely been life changing and it has been a perfect way to prepare for, what people may say, "the real world". I love the community at Lamar Community College, including all the faculty and students. Any problems that you may face, there will always be someone willing to help and get you through it. It has also been a very unique experience with the wide diversity of people and cultures. I have made some amazing friends whom i would have never met if I had chosen another college.
