Lakeland University Reviews
For me, it was a great experience because I visited since the soccer coach wanted me to and I felt so welcomed and the campus is absolutely gorgeous! If you like smaller campuses, I believe Lakeland University is a great fit as I am one of those people. There are about 700-800 students so it’s nice and home like and it doesn’t have a super rural feel but enough to feel like a home away from home!
Lakeland University resemble a home. Everyone is nice to everyone and everyone knows everyone. The sports team support all the other sport teams and go to the games to cheer each other on. The food types were kind of the same a lot of times but besides that it was pretty good and they had different kinds of ice cream!
Lakeland College is located in the middle of a corn field which is the equivalent to how exciting life here is. The campus is small and gradually being updated. There is nothing to do or places to go, however. If you want food, you have to drive at least 15 minutes into Sheboygan or Plymouth. Lakeland does have a pretty diverse population in regards hometowns and race. However, everyone seems to be an athlete and walk-ons are rare. The aviation and art programs are dieing while the rest of the school consists of business or science majors. The teachers can be really helpful if you develop a relationship with them. Otherwise, it can be hit or miss on interactions with students. The Greeks would often be the hosts of campus parties, but Lakeland has tried to abolish partying on campus which doesn't allow for much socialization opportunities anymore. The housing and RA management and maintenance on campus has also become drastically sub par.
