Their website is very hard to navigate as a student. The course catalog is not user friendly and requires sifting through pages of a PDF to find class times, then you have to look somewhere else for required books, and then use a third place to register for class. Also, their accounting makes it really hard to understand the accounts statements; charges and payments are not clearly identified. Also, there are very few options for classes. They offer short classes, traditional classes, online and blended options in general. Yet, each class only has one option, and you have to take what is offered in order to fulfil graduation requirements.
At Lakeland University, the bright side shines on its modern and updated campus facilities. The architecture and amenities truly reflect a commitment to keeping up with the times. Regrettably, the same cannot be said for the curriculum and teaching quality. Many courses lack the engaging touch that makes learning inspiring. Some instructors appear to approach their roles with minimal enthusiasm, which can be disheartening for students eager to excel. It's a paradox where students are expected to give their best while encountering lackluster teaching efforts. Another downside lies in the dining options. Despite efforts to promote diversity and inclusivity, the food selection lacks variety and cultural authenticity. Moreover, the small campus size might leave you feeling confined, as the lack of activities can lead to boredom. Lakeland University has potential, but it needs to bridge these gaps to truly provide a well-rounded educational experience.
