Kilgore College Reviews
The only thing I did not like was that the dorms have not been improved in years, and you can obviously tell. Everything else is wonderful! The gym is very big, nice, and offers great equipment for athletes all the way to first-timers. The Brew is always warm and welcoming, and I love that they serve Starbucks products along with a few other good snacks. The professors are very understanding, especially right now in this crisis. It's a wonderful experience so far.
My years at Kilgore College have been fantastic! Along the way, I have met some awesome people, who were easy to become friends with and mostly everything is walking distance. I had great professors, but there is one professor that has been more than great! My major was Legal Assisting and he has been the greatest help of all and made all of his classes fun and enthusiastic, along with some fun classmates. Also, the Starbucks there is great...loved buying coffee there with my friends every morning. I just graduated last year with my AAS degree in Legal Assisting and my professor that has been great, attended it! Even my other friend's graduation. I enjoyed my stay at Kilgore. There were some bumps in the road, but I managed to pull through and I will never forget everything that I have accomplished to get in and finish. Definitely recommend this school if you are looking to finish out your basics before transferring to a university.
I have been attending Kilgore College for over a year now, and I have felt welcome ever since! The quality of education, the professors, the students, and the overall campus is great. The one thing I would change is the quality of the professors whom teach the online classes. I believe that every teacher, whether they are face-to-face or online, should be kind and considerate when speaking to or emailing a student. I had an issue with one of my professors whom told me to look at the syllabus no matter what I had asked through email. The professor was quite rude, but I did not let their attitude affect my grade in the class. However, multiple students have dropped from or failed the professor's online course. On the bright side, I have not had any issues with my other professors. I am doing very well attending Kilgore College. In fact, I was accepted into the ADN-RN (Nursing) program next semester! I love Kilgore College!
