What I enjoyed most about KCKCC is the people. Internationals, out-of-state students and local students all interact and share the same experiences. There are plenty of groups, organizations and events that help us learn more about each other as a community. Everyone who attends should not be afraid to ask for help. Staff and students are always accessible and helpful to guide you to the resources you need. If I had to critique the college, I would say that there could be better food on campus. That could also expand an enjoyable environment in the cafeteria and meet more of the amazing people!

I have been feeling lost throughout my entire college history; I have been in college for about three years now. As soon as I graduated from high school, I went straight to a university when I should have gone to a community college. KCKCC has given me more guidance that I have received than the other colleges that I have attended. KCKCC feels like home; the environment of this school is so welcoming and comforting. KCKCC is small enough to find your way through it easily and to communicate effectively with professors, but not so small that you get tired of seeing the same walls every day. The library (Learning Commons) is very comfy and I can guarantee that the librarians are nice ladies that make you feel as important as if you were their grandchildren. I wish KCKCC was a four year institution rather than a two year institution because I am about to receive my associates but I am finding it difficult to say goodbye.
I will be graduating with my Associates in Science and Liberal Arts in the following week from Kansas City Kansas Community College. I have attended this college for a total of 4 semesters and have taken a fair share of both on campus classes and online classes. The professors put a lot of care into making sure the students are properly learning materials for each class. I did not have a single teacher who made my experience at KCKCC difficult; they answered all of the questions that I had regarding assignments or content.

Students can be involved with many school activities because the activity center is always filled with people and upcoming events. The environment is very friendly and I have yet to encounter any hostile or disruptive situations among the people at the college. Overall, I would say that my time at KCKCC has taught me a lot about consistency, punctuality, and has given me a great start to pursuing a college education.
