Technical training is amazing and very fulfilling. Academic professors are okay, but the real gem of this school are the Chefs! They quickly become mentors in our short classes and rely years of experience to their students with fun demonstrations. Cultivation a perfect balance between fun and disciplined professionalism.

All the staff is amazing at JWU they work with students to see what best suits them. They do everything possible to help you succeed. The campus president, chef instructors, and dining hall staff provide endless growth opportunities all year round. The campus clubs are very welcoming to all students. The athletics are always interacting with the community and bringing joy to people at their events. Experience opportunities are endless within the surrounding city to have fun, relax, and advance your career. Johnson & Wales is an amazing school and all you have to do is take advantage of all that it provides.
Jonson and Wales is a really good school when it comes to Culinary Arts. As a Culinary Arts, the classes are very hands on and very thorough. All the teachers want you to succeed. They offer as much help as they can without showing favoritism and are glad to help. The campus itself is real simple. There are only 3 residential halls and hold a lot of students in each. The academic building is right across the street from the Freshman and Sophomore dorms, which is very convenient if one happens to be late for class or needs to run back to their dorm for something they forgot. The campus is right in the heart of Charlotte. It is only about a ten minute walk to uptown Charlotte where the Epicenter is located. There are many places to eat and see up there. Also the campus is located right next to the Panthers practice field so students can see them practicing for games.
