Jefferson community technical college is a fantastic college. The classes are affordable and the teachers are great! I believe if you aren’t able to afford to go to a university or looking for a cheaper alternative then you should definitely come to this school!
I started attending in 2009 and dropped out in 2010. I was at the Tech School I was not impressed from the start. The teacher that taught my major was not very helpful, he mostly just sat in his office all day and BS'd with his favorite students. Went back in 2017 an started another major at the tech school. I started having trouble in my 2nd semester, instead of helping me the teacher tried to get me to drop out, he even yelled at me once because I asked for help because I couldn't figure something out. I was receiving accommodations for a disability through the ARC, so I talked to the head of the ARC and she ended up talking to the Dean. The Dean in turn talked to my teacher and his attitude changed completely. I passed the class but ended up changing my major again. My new teacher was helpful, but when I had almost finished there was a class I was not sure if I needed to take. Could not get an answer from my teacher or GC, finally the GC shrugged his shoulders just stuck me in it.
It’s a nice college, but not as organized! Most teachers are nice but not understanding. The system of submitting work is not easy.
