Jacksonville State University Reviews
Review Jacksonville State University
My overrall experience at Jacksonville State University had numerous of great moments and hardships. Jacksonville State university campus is one of the free- spirited university I have ever visited and majority of students are down to earth. On campus housing is filled with various of activites and formal events; to add, football season is a huge deal to the Jacksonville State University Gamecock's students and professors. Likewise, the professor's are willing to work one on one with each student if students ask. However, the hardship of attending Jacksonville State University is taking numerous of testing outside of student's majors and financial aid issues.
I am currently a frshman living in Fitzpatrick hall. I love being a fitz chick! Our R.As genuinely depict our title "friendliest campus in the south" they are always there for you, but never over your shoulder about college life. There if you need them, but not shoeltering you by any means. Fitz has free laundry, for whenever you need to use them, they are in the basement. The basement also includes a nice lounge area where you can go study or hang out with friends. It's a nice place to go if you have a lot of people getting together, as your room might not be big enough! The rooms are 2 person rooms with a beds, 2 desks, 2 vanities with mirrors and lots of storage! Way more storage than Curtiss, the other female freshman dorm. The bathrooms are community, but are cleaned twice daily and I have never had a bad experience with our bathrooms! They are kept exceptionally clean, just don't forget to pack shower shoes! All together living on campus has been a great experience for me my freshman year. Is will actually continue living on campus next year in an upperclassmen dorm!
I really enjoyed my time at Jacksonville State. The campus is small enough to feel home-y but not too big where it's overwhelming. My teachers were all concerned with their students' success. I had an amazing experience with all my classes and I feel prepared to dive into my career field. There are many opportunities to make new friends and become involved. Unfortunately the city of Jacksonville does not offer much for college night life, but the city is very supportive of athletics and provides a lots of activities surrounding them. I am proud to have received my degree from JSU and I know it will help me with my next steps in life.
