The experience at the Northwest campus is overall average. Most of the instructors that taught me were experienced in their field of study. The campus offers a tutoring room, where appointments can be made or walk-ins are welcomed. The staff overall are welcoming and helpful. The campus has Gary police assisting with security, both inside and rounding the parking lot. The school has accommodations for the handicap. One unfortunate thing, is that the school does not really have a cafeteria for students who are attending classes and spending their entire day on campus. Also, there are no dorms nor living quarters.
Overall, the Northwest campus is a great school to attend.

I enjoyed my time at Ivy Tech, although I would’ve liked to had seen and experienced a more diverse atmosphere. I believe this would have better prepared myself for the real world. Also assigning more real life experiences would allow better development into ones intellect on how to handle yourself once your find yourself in that situation. Nevertheless I would advise others to become a student with Ivy Tech because once you are enrolled you have a feeling of being family than a college experience.
So far, I love the school. The feeling it emits is very welcoming and safe. The staff provides you with lots of great information continuously, and is always there to help!
