Ivy Tech Community College - Columbus Reviews

Durring Covid-19, educators and staff did all that was possible to make sure students could learn and get an education that would benefit them in the future. Ivy Tech hosted activities that allowed students to feel confident and comfortable in a small, tight knit community. The environment is clean, safe and welcoming. If someone is looking for anything but a good education Ivy Tech Community College- Columbus might not be for them. Partying, athletics and housing directly linked to this Ivy Tech is not available, but the academics are well worth it. If you are looking to continue your education or even save money before heading off to a 4-year college, I highly recommend Ivy Tech.
I have enjoyed my time at Ivy Tech Community College. All of my teachers have been really helpful and encouraging to me as I am taking my classes. The enrollment process went smoothly. I did have some problems with my FASFA but everyone there was incredibly helpful and did everything they could to help me. I also had the opportunity to be apart of the Supplemental Instructor program which is like a student teaching program, which has been an amazing experience to grow myself as a person and a student. Overall, I have completely enjoyed my experience at Ivy Tech.
The instructors I have had so far are great. The main thing that I do not enjoy is the fact that Ivy Tech actively pursues injecting only particular political and religious beliefs. One example is with the English class I had. Every single article we read in that class and every one we had to write about (other than the writing assignment were there HAD to be multiple views) were slanted toward a certain political agenda. That is wrong and not-so-subtle. All ideas should be welcome, not just ones that the school supports. This is higher education, not political indoctrination.
