Whether or not online classes will work for you depends upon your learning style. You will likely have the same workload that you would have with a traditional classroom, but with most online classes, you're expected to read beforehand and "come to class" prepared to discuss that days lesson. You will definitely socialize and discuss the topics involved in that class with your peers and professors, so I would go as far to say that your relationships are even closer and you get to know each other more through an online setting!
Review Ivy Tech Community College - Central Indiana
I was nervous when I found out a majority of my classes would be online last semester, but all my nerves were assuaged by the simplicity and straightforwardness of the technology used by Ivy Tech. I had to deal with two unique databases, or forums. One for AH classes, and one for normal classes. Both were very easy to use and made the class fun ad engaging. The professors were always very easy to reach and were helpful. Even the professors that I never met face to face treated me like a promising student. Any discussion boards between my peers and I were carried out with maturity and professionalism. Also, the registration process was a breeze!
Receiving my fine arts degree here was a great choice. I was hesitant at first to commit to a community college, but found that the professors are nothing but wonderful. I had a great assortment of teachers, both in the arts department and otherwise. Every single one of them was very understanding when it came to students' problems and were passionate about their teaching. The class sizes weren't overwhelmingly large, and most of the other students are very nice. The campus is small and easy to navigate, too. Great experience!
